Longtime NJBIA member Saiber LLC on Tuesday announced the addition of Marc D. Freedman as member and Steven M. Friedland as counsel in a relocation that reinforces the Florham Park law firm's Business Services and Employment practices.

This tactical expansion reflects Saiber's dedication to strengthening its business and M&A capabilities, with a particular focus on industry-specific services for clients in the staffing sector and beyond.

Both attorneys sign up with Saiber from the shop company Freedman & Friedland LLC of Hasbrouck Heights, bringing years of experience in corporate and work law, especially within the staffing industry.

Freedman, a skilled corporate lawyer, signs up with the company's Business Services group as a member. With a comprehensive background in work and business law and mergers & acquisitions, he brings deep understanding of the legal and company problems affecting staffing companies and other markets.

He previously worked as general counsel and senior executive officer for one of the largest public companies in the short-term work sector. His extensive experience consists of corporate acquisitions, securities compliance, labor relations, safeguarding companies in discrimination matters and class actions, lawsuits, risk management, and strategic consulting for senior executives.

Freedman is currently general counsel to the New Jersey Staffing Alliance and previously served in similar roles with national staffing associations.

Friedland will sign up with the firm as counsel in the Litigation practice group. With a concentrate on work law and litigation, he brings over 2 years of experience protecting employers in discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage and hour matters before federal and state courts and administrative agencies, as well as representing companies in commercial lawsuits.

He also routinely counsels customers on everyday work environment matters and drafts numerous arrangements, policies, and compliance materials. Previously, Friedland practiced work and labor law at two firms with a nationwide presence.
